Xspace + VHS: Partners in Education
April 17, 2020

In 2018, Virtual High School and Xspace partnered to launch the full-time VHS-HELPS program in Beijing, China. Students who attend the HELPS program complete VHS courses through a unique blended-learning model, and they graduate with an OSSD.
The HELPS blended-learning model creates a space for students to interact in purposeful ways with peers, digital course materials, online teachers, and the facilitator in a physical classroom setting. Qualified educators work together to guide students through coursework while helping students develop long-term soft skills and offering personalized instruction that fits students’ individual needs.

This year the VHS-HELPS program will see its first cohort of graduates. Several students have already gained early admission into several Canadian universities including the University of Toronto, Western University, McMaster University, University of Victoria, University of Alberta, and Emily Carr University of Art + Design. We expect more students to receive offers from universities in the coming weeks.
Due to the success of the VHS-Xspace partnership program in Beijing, this fall we will be launching a new program in Vancouver, British Columbia, that follows a similar model. In British Columbia, Xspace works closely with School District 91 (Nechako Lakes) and is recognized to be SD91’s satellite campus in Vancouver. We will be working with VHS to start a full-time Ontario program in the Xspace-SD91 campus, giving students the option to pursue an Ontario Secondary School Diploma as an alternative a BC Dogwood Diploma.
If you would like more information on Xspace programs, please visit our website or call our Vancouver or Beijing offices.
We look forward to connecting with you!
