Science is driven by our curiosity and sense of wonder. It helps us investigate and explain the natural phenomena we observe every day.
Imagine a hot summer day. As you drive down the highway, you see a shimmering effect on or just above the road. This optical illusion happens because light bends (or refracts) as it moves from cooler air to the warmer air close to the pavement. Thanks to science, we can understand the "how" and "why" behind this phenomenon.
When the Academic Team at VHS developed the grade 10 science course (SNC2D), we aimed to bring this sense of wonder and engagement to our students. Through interactive elements and videos, you'll explore topics such as organ systems (biology), climate change (Earth and space science), the properties of light (physics), and chemical reactions (chemistry).
